CVE-2026-54684Public exploit

Code execution via absolute-path XAPK extraction

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Path traversal in Skylot JADX 1.5.2 through 1.5.5 allows attackers to execute code after a user opens a malicious XAPK file. XApkLoader resolves an absolute ZIP entry name against tmpDir without rejecting it, then Files.copy writes its contents outside the unpack directory. If JADX starts in an ancestor of its config directory, the entry can plant a JAR in plugins/dropins; a later run loads it through URLClassLoader and ServiceLoader as the victim.
