Authenticated private-thread modification via missing space checks
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Erudika Scoold 1.68.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to add content to private-space threads. QuestionController.reply() and CommentController.createAjax() accept a question identifier without applying the read path's canAccessSpace check. A valid session and a known or enumerable private question ID are required; successful requests store unauthorized replies or comments and can trigger metadata-bearing notifications.
