Authenticated command execution via unsanitized URL parameters
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Command injection in FreePBX User Control Panel before 16.0.39 and 17.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands. The Home module's originate request handler accepts URL parameters whose earlier sanitization does not fully exclude command-forming strings. Access to a UCP account is required; successful commands run as the PBX webserver user, typically asterisk.
