Credential theft via cross-origin token forwarding

Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026

Credential exposure in acacode swagger-typescript-api before 13.12.2 allows remote attackers to steal bearer tokens via malicious $ref URLs. The getRemoteRequestHeaders method unconditionally attaches authorizationToken to fetchRemoteSchemaDocument requests while external references are warmed, without comparing the destination origin with the source specification. Exploitation requires a developer or CI process to supply a token and process an attacker-controlled specification; the attacker receives that token at the referenced endpoint.
