Authenticated file disclosure via KNX import XXE
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
XXE in OpenRemote Manager before 1.24.2 allows remote authenticated users to read server files via KNX project imports. KNXProtocol.startAssetImport processes 0.xml from uploaded ETS project ZIPs with Saxon and XMLInputFactory parsers that resolve attacker-controlled external entities. A regular realm account suffices without administrator access, exposing files readable by the JVM process and enabling requests to server-reachable endpoints.
