Media-session termination via unchecked UDP packet lengths
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Denial of service in SIPSorcery 10.0.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to terminate active RTP or WebRTC media sessions. RTPChannel.OnRTPPacketReceived and STUN address parsers index undersized packet data, and UdpReceiver.EndReceiveFrom closes the channel on the resulting exception. Exploitation requires reaching or learning the advertised ephemeral RTP/ICE UDP port, but it precedes DTLS and STUN integrity checks and requires no authentication or user interaction.
