CVE-2026-54553Network attack vector

Authenticated data exposure and failures via unchecked fields

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Improper input validation in starlette-admin before 0.16.1 allows remote authenticated users to expose data or interrupt list requests. The list API passes user-supplied order_by and structured where field names to model queries without checking sortable_fields and searchable_fields. Access to an affected list endpoint is required; unauthorized fields can reveal limited record information, while invalid or special Python attributes can produce HTTP 500 responses.
