Authenticated traffic metadata disclosure via unfiltered WebSocket
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Improper authorization in WireGuard Portal 2.2.0 through 2.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to read cross-user traffic metadata. The /api/v0/ws handler forwards every peer and interface TrafficDelta event from global topics without validating the requesting user's access rights. Any logged-in non-admin account can enumerate peer public keys, interface names, and byte counters, but cannot read tunnel content, AllowedIPs, or user identities.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
