Local Segment write-key disclosure via embedded resource
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in GRID Organiser App 1.0.5 and earlier allow local users to extract its Segment write key from the Android APK. The res/raw/app.json resource stores SegmentWriteKey as a static value, allowing APK inspection to recover the credential instead of obtaining it from protected storage. Low-privileged local access is required, and the published assessment limits direct impact to disclosure of the embedded key.
