Resource-limit bypass in Faye websocket-driver before 0.8.1 allows remote attackers to exceed configured message-size limits. The HyBi driver's emit_message path checks max_length against compressed frame headers before extensions run, so a crafted compressed message expands past the configured limit without rejection. Exploitation requires permessage-deflate negotiation and drives application memory and processing above intended limits; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
