Unauthorized file actions via missing CSRF checks
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
CSRF in error311 FileRise before 3.14.0 allows remote attackers to create files or share links via forged session-bearing requests. FileController::createFile and FileController::createShareLink process request bodies without validating X-CSRF-Token. Exploitation requires a logged-in user's session and corresponding create or share permissions; default SameSite=Lax cookies reduce ordinary cross-site POST reachability, and confirmed actions are limited to empty-file and share-link creation.
