Unauthenticated administrative takeover via unsafe WebSocket metadata rendering
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Stored DOM XSS in the YPTSocket plugin in WWBN AVideo 29.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's origin. MessageSQLiteV2::onOpen stores the unvalidated page_title parameter, and updateSocketUserCard inserts the broadcast value into HTML with jQuery append. The YPTSocket plugin and its default debug panel must be active while an administrator views a logged-in page, enabling theft of dashboard data and authenticated admin actions.
