Cross-site scripting via unsanitized RSS link
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Alicia Sykes Dashy before 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through a malicious RSS item link. The RSS Widget's src/components/Widgets/RssFeed.vue renders each rss2json link value directly into anchor href attributes without rejecting javascript: URIs. Exploitation requires an attacker-controlled or compromised subscribed feed and a user click, after which script runs in the Dashy origin and can read session data or act as that user.
