CVE-2026-54422Network attack vector

Registry credential disclosure via host filesystem exposure

Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026

Credential exposure in OpenStack Ironic Python Agent allows remote authenticated users to read OCI registry credentials via malicious bootc images. The bootc deployment path writes the pull secret to the host filesystem, while tenant-controlled container code receives host PID namespace visibility and can read it through /proc/1/root. Exploitation requires an Ironic user who can deploy arbitrary containers through the bootc deploy_interface; the disclosed credentials can provide access to private OCI images.
