Administrator RCE via omitted .php8 blacklist entry
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Pluck CMS 4.7.21 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via a .php8 file. The admin file manager in data/inc/files.php compares only the filename's last four or five characters against a fixed denylist that omits .php8, then stores the upload unchanged. Administrator access and a web server configured to execute .php8 files as PHP are required, after which uploaded code runs with the web application's privileges.
