Authenticated record takeover via user-controlled ownership fields
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Mass assignment in MISP before 2.5.40 allows remote authenticated users to modify ownership and delegation records through crafted requests. The affected controller actions copy request fields into loaded or newly created records without pinning or removing server-controlled id, org_id, orgc_id, and user_id values. Access to the affected endpoints is required; crafted fields can transfer ownership, overwrite delegation requests, or modify another organization's proposals and threat-intelligence records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
