Site-admin settings modification via role-blind ACL checks
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Improper authorization in MISP before 2.5.40 allows remote authenticated users with organization-admin rights to alter site-admin settings. UserSettingsController and UserSetting authorize targets by matching organization IDs without excluding roles that grant site administration. Access requires organization-admin rights and a site-admin target in the same organization, exposing settings and login-profile data to reading or modification.
