Arbitrary file read via PWA ZIP symlink
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Path traversal in Budibase before 3.39.9 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through a crafted PWA ZIP upload. The icon validator checks only the resolved path string, then file opening follows an archive-created symlink outside the extraction directory and streams the target into MinIO. Workspace-builder access to one app is required; in stock self-hosted containers, readable deployment secrets enable global-administrator session forgery.
