CVE-2026-54342

Traffic interception via trust-all TLS clients

Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026

Improper certificate validation in service health erx GmbH ePA4all before 2026-05-20 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to alter backend traffic. SSLUtils installs an X509TrustManager with empty certificate checks, while CXF and JDK HTTP clients also suppress hostname verification. Exploitation requires a position on the backend network path and exposes non-VAU smartcard and OIDC traffic to direct reading and modification.
