CVE-2026-54337Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file overwrite via ffprobe argument injection

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Argument injection in Fireshare before 1.6.14 allows remote attackers to write or overwrite server files through a public video upload. The upload path preserves spaces in untrusted filename and folder fields, and _extract_date_from_metadata tokenizes the constructed ffprobe command with split(). Exploitation requires network access to the public-upload endpoint, and writes are limited to paths writable by the service account, including mounted data directories.
