Host path bind-mount via unconstrained volume reference
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Path traversal defense gap in Daytona before 0.186 lets remote authenticated users submit sandbox volume references for runner mounts. The runner uses the forwarded reference to construct a host bind-mount source without confining the resolved path to the per-volume base directory. Released builds reject traversal strings during database UUID validation before mount construction, so the vendor reproduced only a server-side validation error and no cross-tenant access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
