CVE-2026-54318Public exploit

Location spoofing via unrestricted exported receiver

Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026

Improper component export in Home Assistant Companion for Android 2026.5.2 and earlier allows local users to spoof device location. LocationSensorManager accepts an attacker-supplied Google Play Services LocationResult from an exported, permissionless BroadcastReceiver and forwards it as genuine. Exploitation requires the full Play Store flavor, an authenticated server session, and the Background Location sensor; forged coordinates can trigger configured zone automations.
