Unauthorized document overwrite via unvalidated MongoDB filter
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
NoSQL injection in the n8n MongoDB node before 2.24.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite unintended documents. The Find And Replace operation passes a workflow-supplied filter value to MongoDB without validation, causing crafted filters to broaden the document match. Workflow edit access and a configured MongoDB node are required; successful exploitation replaces matched documents with attacker-controlled content.
