Credential access via partial ownership checks
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Incorrect authorization in n8n allows remote authenticated users to access credentials owned by other users through public API endpoints. Specific public API endpoints permit an Editor of a shared workflow to reference credentials without fully enforcing credential ownership. The flaw is reachable only when workflow sharing is enabled and a workflow has been shared with a member-level user as an Editor.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
