Unauthenticated route access via trailing-slash mismatch
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Authentication bypass in NestJS Nest before 11.1.24 allows remote attackers to reach protected Fastify routes via trailing slashes. The Fastify adapter's route-scoped middleware matching treats /resource and /resource/ differently, while request dispatch resolves both forms to the same controller. The flaw is reachable on the default Fastify configuration when standard CRUD routes are protected with MiddlewareConsumer.forRoutes(), allowing unauthenticated requests to read or modify resources according to the reached handler.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
