CVE-2026-54258Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Restricted surveillance footage disclosure via unchecked event IDs

Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026

Authorization bypass in ZoneMinder affected releases allows remote authenticated users to read event media from restricted monitors via an event ID. Direct image, video, and HLS views accept attacker-selected eid values and stream files from the resolved event path without calling the event-level canView authorization check. Coarse Events=View or Snapshots=View permission is sufficient; the consequence is limited to disclosure of snapshots, frames, recorded video, and HLS playlists across monitor boundaries.
