Unauthorized content rendering via view-only preview requests
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Statamic CMS before 5.74.0 and 6.0.0 through 6.20.2 allows remote authenticated users to render preview content. PreviewController::edit authorizes only the view action before accepting caller-supplied entry or term fields and issuing a Live Preview token. A Control Panel account with view permission but without edit permission is sufficient; the resulting shareable URL displays unauthorized content without changing the underlying entry.
