Open redirect via unsanitized cType response header
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
HTTP header injection in TeamDavid Webbox through Rollout 524 allows remote attackers to redirect users via a crafted cType URL parameter. The handler reflects cType into the Content-Type response header without rejecting URL-encoded line feeds or colons, enabling injection of a Location header. Exploitation requires a victim to follow an attacker-crafted link, and the short input limit confines demonstrated abuse to redirects with short destination URLs.
