Stored XSS via unchecked password-change file writes
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Arbitrary file write in TeamDavid Webbox through Rollout 524 allows remote attackers to plant files that trigger stored XSS. The password-change function saves attacker-controlled input as a chosen file without validating its type, while access.ini checks restrict writable directories. No authentication is required to write into a permitted directory, while JavaScript executes only after a user opens the planted HTML file.
