CVE-2026-54182Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated command execution via unescaped Host header

Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026

OS command injection in Backpack CRUD before 4.1.70, 5.6.2, 6.8.13, or 7.0.36 allows remote attackers to execute commands via Host headers. Stats::makeCurlRequest interpolates the HTTP Host header into a shell command and passes it to exec() without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The path requires production mode, available exec() and curl functions, permissive Host forwarding, and repeated requests to pass a 1-in-100 gate; success grants web-server-user access to files, secrets, data modification, and service disruption.
