Cross-tenant record tampering via unscoped write queries
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Authorization bypass in Backpack CRUD 6.0.0 through 6.8.13 and 7.0.0 through 7.0.37 allows remote authenticated users to alter scoped records. The Update, Delete, and Reorder operations resolve primary keys against an unscoped model query rather than the query configured by addClause() or addBaseClause(). Exploitation requires a valid account, a known or guessed out-of-scope key, and an application that uses those clauses for row-level authorization; affected users can modify, delete, or reorder hidden records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
