Authenticated file deletion via unchecked clear paths
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Improper authorization in Backpack CRUD allows remote authenticated users with Update access to delete files from configured storage. HasUploadFields::uploadMultipleFilesToDisk passes paths from clear_[] directly to Storage::disk()->delete without restricting them to files persisted on the current record. A CRUD must use this mutator, after which low-privilege administrative access permits deletion of other attachments, shared assets, or operational files but not file reads.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
