Private repository disclosure via unscoped installation token
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Authorization bypass in Tekton Pipelines as Code allows remote authenticated users to read private repository task definitions. Webhook processing can leave a GitHub App installation token scoped to every repository, and remote task resolution then inlines a targeted private Tekton definition. Exploitation requires push access to one repository and a multi-repository App installation; the demonstrated impact is read-only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
