CVE-2026-54085Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Privileged argument injection via unvalidated alert fields

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Argument injection in Wazuh 4.2.0 through 4.14.6 allows remote authenticated users to alter privileged command arguments via crafted log events. Five srcip-handling active response scripts omit get_ip_version(), while disable-account passes dstuser to passwd or chuser after only rejecting root. An active response rule must process the crafted alert; successful abuse can modify firewall operations or lock arbitrary system accounts.
