Unauthorized schema mutation via unchecked public mutators
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Incorrect authorization in ArcadeDB before 26.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to mutate database schemas through HTTP commands. Public mutators in LocalDocumentType and LocalProperty omit the UPDATE_SCHEMA permission check before renaming types, changing inheritance, dropping properties, or altering constraints. Database access, including a read-only API token, is sufficient; the operations do not directly alter record values but can corrupt their meaning and violate the schema-permission boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
