Unauthenticated admin API access via origin trust
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Origin validation error in SiYuan before 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator API access through a browser extension. CheckAuth in kernel/model/session.go exempts every chrome-extension:// origin from authentication and assigns RoleAdministrator while desktop AccessAuthCode is empty by default. An installed Chrome or Chromium extension can then read workspace data, inject stored scripts, and alter kernel configuration through the loopback HTTP server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
