Unauthenticated note exfiltration via dynamic-icon templates
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Missing authentication in SiYuan before 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to read SQLite note data through a dynamic-icon request. The /api/icon/getDynamicIcon handler passes attacker-controlled template content to RenderDynamicIconContentTemplate, whose querySQL and queryBlocks functions execute SELECT statements and render results into the SVG response. No credentials or user interaction are required, but network access and one valid block ID are prerequisites; exposed data includes notes, tags, asset references, and block attributes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
