Cross-tenant backup disclosure and deletion via unscoped records
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Authorization bypass in n8n-MCP before 2.56.1 allows remote authenticated users to read and delete other tenants' workflow backups. The workflow_versions table lacks a tenant or instance key, and repository queries read, list, retrieve, delete, roll back, and prune records without tenant filtering. Exploitation requires HTTP mode, ENABLE_MULTI_TENANT=true, a shared instance and database, and an authenticated tenant; stdio and single-tenant deployments are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
