Internal resource access via Avro schema URL
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Apache Impala 2.0.0 through 4.5.1 allows attackers to access internal endpoints via crafted Avro table DDL. Impala dereferences an attacker-controlled avro.schema.url value as an HTTP or file URI instead of restricting its destination or scheme. The attacker must be able to submit table DDL; requests inherit the Impala host's reachability, and parsing errors expose returned content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
