Cross-user prompt history read and deletion via IDOR
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Authorization bypass in Open WebUI before 0.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete other users' prompt history. The affected prompt-history routes authorize the URL's prompt_id, then fetch, restore, or delete globally selected history rows without binding their IDs to that prompt. Exploitation requires access to a controlled prompt and knowledge of a victim history UUID; it exposes snapshot content or removes only the targeted version-history entry.
