Draft file disclosure via unchecked clean redirects
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Missing authorization in Kirby file redirects in 4.9.3 and earlier and 5.0.0 through 5.4.3 allows remote attackers to read top-level draft files. The clean-file redirect route resolves a file in a top-level draft directly to its physical media URL without checking page access or a preview token. Exploitation requires content.fileRedirects to be enabled and knowledge of the full draft-file path; Kirby 5 disables this option by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
