Victim-session script execution via unescaped date filters
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in ProjectSend r2029 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an authenticated victim's browser via a crafted URL. thumbnails-regenerate.php places the start_date and end_date GET values into HTML value attributes without encoding quotation marks or other markup. Exploitation requires a victim with edit_settings permission to follow the URL, after which injected code runs in the application origin and can act with that victim's session.
