Authenticated PII disclosure via unsanitized users API
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Information disclosure in the users API in RARgames 4gaBoards before 3.3.9 allows remote authenticated users to read account data. The users/index and users/show actions rely on the global is-authenticated policy, and users/index returns sails.helpers.users.getMany() output while users/show exposes arbitrary records without requester-specific authorization or response sanitization. Any valid session can enumerate instance-wide names, emails, phone numbers, admin status, and SSO-linked email fields, enabling privacy loss and phishing reconnaissance against higher-privileged accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
