Management token theft via LLM-controlled request destination

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

SSRF in Contentful MCP Server before 1.7.19 and MCP Tools before 0.4.5 allows remote authenticated users to steal a management token. The export_space and import_space tools merge LLM-controlled host or proxy options with the server token, then send authenticated API requests to that destination. Reachability requires enabled migration tools and either MCP tool-call access or prompt injection through writable Contentful content; token theft grants out-of-band access to every space within its scope.
