Private-field disclosure via Content API filter bypass
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Protection mechanism failure in Ghost 5.46.1 through 6.21.1 allows remote attackers to infer private fields through Content API filters. Content API filter validation fails to reject field-qualified references such as users.password and authors.email, so repeated query results act as a brute-force oracle. No authentication or user interaction is required; SQLite exposes complete password hashes, while MySQL comparisons lose letter case and limit hash recovery.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
