Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted image-card URL fetch
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
SSRF in Ghost 6.19.4 through 6.21.0 allows remote authenticated users to make server-side requests via crafted image cards. The Mobiledoc populateImageSizes path passes an image card's unrestricted src URL to getImageSizeFromUrl when dimensions are missing. Staff access to create or edit posts and a re-render are required; the blind request can reach internal services or cloud metadata endpoints.
