Code execution via getattr-obfuscated eval
Published Jun 17, 2026 · Updated Jun 17, 2026
Deserialization bypass in picklescan before 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code through a getattr-obfuscated eval call. The unsafe-globals blocklist misses a cloudpickle-reconstructed callable that resolves builtins.eval through getattr and embeds attacker-controlled Python. A crafted pickle must pass scanning and then be loaded from an untrusted source; loading it executes the payload on the host.
