Agent access via mutable Discord display names
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to gain another Discord identity's agent access. The Discord allowFrom check matches mutable display or global name metadata against policy entries instead of binding authorization to stable user IDs. Exploitation requires a Discord account that can change its displayed name and a deployment where the affected feature is enabled and reachable.
