Cross-organization group access via missing authorization check
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Incorrect authorization in runZero Explorer before 4.0.260208.0 allows remote authenticated users to access Explorer groups in other organizations. The Explorer-group selection path omits the organization-scope authorization check, allowing a user with confidential target details to select Explorers associated with another organization. Exploitation requires an authenticated user, confidential information about the target organization, and high complexity; the likely consequence is disabling targeted Explorers to create assessment blind spots.
