Credential exposure via model-supplied loopback forwarding
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Credential exposure in OpenClaw before 2026.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to read Gateway tokens through message.action forwarding. Model-controlled action metadata selects an attacker-supplied loopback Gateway URL, and the forwarding path sends the action payload with Gateway credentials to that local listener. The affected feature must be enabled and reachable, and lower-trust input must reach the path; exposure is limited to the token and action payload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
